To all car makers and car dealers around world, women in Saudi Arabia need you to help them in order to buy your cars. They need your support to make their voices be heard to lift the ban on driving. This will allow them to be like the rest of women in the world. Women in Saudi Arabia are crippled today. They are like prisoners at their homes. They need to be able to move freely without any restrictions.
The Saudi government officials have announced in many occasions that the issue of forbidding women from driving is a social issue and it should be left to the families to decide. The campaign that took place in September 2007 to allow women to drive cars proved that there are many women who want to drive. The campaign is still on. Almost 3,000 people, 80% of them were women, signed the two petitions that were sent to the Saudi king asking him to let women drive.
Women in Saudi Arabia are willing to buy your cars. But you need first to support the campaign to allow women to drive cars. Write to your government officials; make the Non-Governmental Organizations aware, inform the parliament members in your countries about the status of women in Saudi Arabia. Show your support by writing on this subject to the Saudi ambassadors. Make the issue well known among the women’s organizations in your regions. Help women in Saudi Arabia to buy your cars.
